In cold blood

I heard from my colleagues:
There were times when kittens and puppies were very popular among print decorations , cards , calendars etc.
People said some Japanese artists killed the little animals,and made them into specimen.
So that they can make dead animals in the 'PERFECT' poses they wanted for the pictures.
And they pretended them to be lively and lovely!
That scared me!!! How awful it could be????
How can people be so so so so so cold blooded??
It reminds me of the Capote again...
In cold blood.....misuse of language....abuse of language.....
one using the name of non-fiction, one using the name of lovely pictures.
The coldness made me shiver.
